The Pre-Apprenticeship Training Class is a 39-hour prerequisite course for candidates who wish to pursue a career in Barbering or Cosmetology through an Apprenticeship program.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You must register and pay the registration fee before you can begin your Pre-Apprenticeship training. Please get in touch to confirm the most current Pre-Apprenticeship training class and certificate cost. The course is designed to provide you with knowledge in the areas of:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Laws and Regulations of the Board<\/li>\n<li>Health and Safety<\/li>\n<li>Basic Patron Protection<\/li>\n<li>Sanitation and Disinfection Procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apprentices must attend the Pre-Apprenticeship classes and commit to studying the curriculum Health and Safety for Hair Care and Beauty Professionals, including a curriculum on Hazards at Work, which will be provided during orientation, for a minimum of 39-hours during the assigned prior to the established test date.<\/p>\n<p>State board hours required for the Pre -Apprenticeship class is 39 hours, this training cannot take longer than 60 days. Pre-Apprentice hours never expire, there is no need for an Apprentice to take this course a second time.
